Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you submit a project, we collect the contact and project details you provide (name, email, phone, ZIP code, project description, quantity, timeline, budget range if given) and any reference files you choose to upload (photos, logos, artwork, sketches, or screenshots).
When a business applies to join our network, we collect business and contact details (business name, contact name, email, phone, website/social links, location, capabilities, and a description of the business).
We also automatically capture basic technical and referral information (such as which link or campaign brought you to the site) to understand how people find MadeBySmall.
How we use it
We use submitted project information to manually review your request and look for independent small businesses that may be able to fulfill it. We use business application information to manually review and, if approved, consider the business for future customer opportunities.
We do not use your information to automatically match or place orders in V1 — a MadeBySmall team member reviews projects and businesses by hand.
Uploaded files
Reference files you upload are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. They are used only to help us and prospective businesses understand your project, and are shared only with businesses we're actively considering for your project.
Email & marketing
Submitting a project or business application does not automatically sign you up for marketing emails. We'll send transactional emails related to your submission (confirmations and updates); any separate marketing communication requires your explicit opt-in.
Who we share information with
We share project details with independent businesses we're considering connecting you with. We also use the following service providers to operate MadeBySmall, each of which processes data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — content delivery, security, and bot protection (Turnstile)
- Cloudflare R2 — private storage for uploaded reference files
- Brevo — transactional email delivery
- Google Analytics — aggregate, privacy-conscious site usage analytics (we do not send names, emails, phone numbers, uploaded filenames, or project descriptions to Google Analytics)
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We retain project and business application information for as long as reasonably needed to operate MadeBySmall and improve our service. You can request deletion of your information at any time — see Contact below.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you've submitted by emailing us. We'll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
Children's privacy
MadeBySmall is intended for business and adult consumer use and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
As MadeBySmall evolves, we may update this policy. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
